Hydropower:

MG has been active in employing various methods of hydropower generation for many years. Its Dam and Hydropower Department has successfully designed and supervised many hydropower plant structures, reservoirs, head works and tunnels. MG has also designed and supervised the construction of many pumped-storage power plants. Using well-established in-house computer models, MG is able to simulate the power generation potential of complex systems. The Dam and Hydropower Department has worked in many projects on a wide range of schemes, from mini hydro projects to 3000-MW power plants, including both pumped-storage and conventional types.

A number of recently completed projects involve underground power plants and extensive tunlling. The Dam and Hydropower Department also provides consulting services covering the economic and environmental aspects of hydropower development.
